Why Chutney?

What will a hot and tangy Mumbai Bhel or a course of cheese be without its chutneys?

After spending 25 years in Mumbai, I moved to London, the city of my dreams. But I still carry within me colourful memories of India: all the sights, smells and sounds.

My subsequent travels in different parts of the world have only enriched me as a person. The culture, the food, the languages. As a born and bred Mumbaikar, my dialect has always been an amalgamation of three languages : Marathi, English and Hindi. Now as a proud Londoner, I am amazed how a simple tube ride is a straight dive into a cultural melting pot!
